Within the EcoScope project, the researcher will work on the development and application of quantitative tools towards an ecocentric fisheries management taking into account environmental, oceanographic and climatic drivers. This includes working on spatial and temporal modelling of marine ecosystems, analysing oceanographic and fisheries time-series and develop indicators that can be used for the fisheries management with the ecosystem context.

Qualifications

The successful applicant will hold a PhD degree in marine biology/ecology, fisheries or related fields, and document solid background in ecological theory, marine populations dynamics, ecosystem modeling and/or fisheries stock assessment and management. Skills in statistics, programming experience and/or knowledge of Ecopath (with Ecosim and Ecospace) are advantageous.
